Alternate Realities CG Challenge Results

Clinton Jones recently run an epic CG animation challenge with the topic "Alternate Realities". The clue was that a basic animated scene file was provided to the participants, so the basic scene layout and animation is the same for all of them. Then each participant added their own twist to the scene.

2400 artists participated, and in this montage above, you can see the stunning 100 best out of these. Sit back, turn up the volume and enjoy.


Introduction to UDIMs in Blender

We published a new free Blender tutorial. Here, Juan Hernandez gives an introduction to the UDIM workflow in Blender, for getting more texture details on your 3D models.

He discusses the basics you need to know, to properly understand this technique, with practical examples of how this can be useful, and when other solutions can be more effective.
