🚶‍♂️ Learn "ToAnimate" a Walk Cycle like a Pro

Published about 1 month ago • 1 min read

Hey Reader,

Zach here,

Have you ever struggled with getting your 3D character’s walking animation to look right?

I know how hard it is without proper guidance. It’s easy to get lost in all those tiny details that matter and not be able to see what’s making it all go wrong.

I’ve got something for you that can help you understand the walk cycle animation inside out.

My friend Brian Kouhi (a professional animator and founder of ToAnimate) shared a full 1-hour-long lesson on making a walk cycle animation in Blender for free.

Watch the tutorial here

The lesson is run by Simona, one of ToAnimate’s highly experienced teachers and animators. She most recently worked as an animator at Industrial Lights and Magic.

She goes step by step through the process, explaining not only what should be animated and which buttons you should press, but also the reasons behind all those little steps that make the animation feel alive.

This is priceless advice that you can only get from people with years of experience in this field.

The tutorial comes with a nice free, fully rigged robot character and an add-on that helps in the animation process. Making it more fun and efficient to animate the walk cycle.

If you like this lesson and would like more quality animation training, check out their full Blender Animation Course.

The best thing, they gave us a special 10% discount code, just for you.

Hurry up, as there are only 20 seats in total for the discount, and it expires on May 4th, 2024.

Brian and his team will walk you through the whole cycle (pun intended) of learning animation in Blender.
