🚀 [Resources] NEW Blender texturing tutorial, Master Urban Environments 20% OFF and more

Hey Reader,

Zach here,

with a new round of exciting 3D news.

First, we have a new CG Boost texturing tutorial for you, along with a 20% discount for our Master Urban Environments in Blender course.

Also, the Blender Market Spring sale is on, and there is an inspiring 3D talk by Kent Trammell from the Blender Conference in L.A.

Let’s get into it.

How to texture realistic buildings in Blender?

You probably asked yourself this question if you ever tried creating a city scene or any kind of urban environment in Blender.

Cov Phillips, our instructor for the Master Urban Environments in Blender course, shares his whole realistic texturing workflow in his latest Blender tutorial for CG Boost.

This workflow cannot only be applied to buildings, but all sorts of 3D assets. A must-watch when you want to learn a robust texturing workflow in Blender.

With the tutorial, we're running a one-week sale for the Master Urban Environments in Blender course.

It’s a unique opportunity to get it with a 20% discount, by using the following coupon code during checkout.

20% Off Coupon Code: URBANSPRING

(Sale ends on May 31st, 23:59 CET.)

Blender Market Spring Sale

Blender Market is running their Spring Sale with over 16K products 25% off, until Sunday, May 26th, 11:59 PM CT.

One thing that really caught my eye this time was the new launch of ICity, a procedural (Geometry Nodes-based) add-on that creates entire cities with a few clicks.

Honestly, it looks very impressive. 🤯

During the Spring Sale, you can get it 25% off.

This can be a great way to speed up your urban environment creations, allowing you to create amazing backgrounds in no time.

I especially love the procedural roads and imperfection system, which adds cracks, garbage, leaves, puddles and more.

Accidental Blender Animation Studio

I’m always on the lookout for something to inspire and remind me why I create in Blender.

This week it was Kent Tremmel’s talk at the Blender Conference in Los Angeles, about collaborative community projects.

Kent really brought it to the next level with bringing his community together, to create a couple of quite big animation projects in the past few years.

It’s uplifting to see what great results can be achieved if you join forces with fellow 3D artists who share your passion.

Make sure to watch to the very end, there he shares the result of the latest collaboration, which is truly impressive and inspiring.

CG Cookie also uploaded all the other presentations from the recent Blender Conferences in L.A., which you can check out in this playlist.

I hope this round of news help to boost your creative journey.

Have fun!

~Zach
