New 3D Render Challenge: The Ruins

Speaking of challenges, Fox Renderfarm just started their new 3D render challenge, with the topic "The Ruins" (which we are sponsoring).

I find ancient civilizations and ruins fascinating, and love to imagining the history of what might have occurred and the secrets they left behind for us to discover.

The topic is inspiring and open to interpretation, so you can go wild with whatever ruins you want to create, whether it be ancient, medieval, fantasy or sci-fi, and people of all skill levels are welcome to join.

We are among the sponsors, so it is also a great way to win one of our courses, if you make it to the top 3.

Join the Challenge here

(The challenge ends July 20th, 2024.)

Learning Blender by playing a Video Game?

I came across an interesting project that aims to turn the Blender learning experience into a fun video game.

If you also like the idea and would like to learn more, check out the Kickstarter campaign page from the project’s creators.

You can support the development by backing it up on Kickstarter or just keeping an eye on this initiative, as it looks really fun and promising.

That’s all from me this week. I hope you found something useful and inspiring.

Have fun!

~Zach
