​Blender52 ‘3D Bunker Challenge’​

The task is simple and quite fun - 3D artists are challenged to create different rooms of a bunker complex, that will be a part of a big shelter render (see the image below).

In the image above, you can view the spots that are left and ready to be filled with a creative scene. The entire challenge is running now via the Blender52 Discord.

Besides other useful prizes, each of the 4 winners can pick a course from us.

​Huxley: The Oracle (Cinematic Trailer)​

The Huxley Saga is a massive post-apocalyptic sci-fi world-building project initiated by Ben Mauro, concept artist who worked on movie titles like Peter Jackson’s ‘The Hobbit’, ‘Elysium’ and game titles like ‘Call of Duty’ and ‘Halo Infinite’.

​This recently released trailer not only has great looking CGI in it, but also inspiring cinematic storytelling and suspense.

Syama Pedersen was involved in creating the trailer, who is also the creator of the popular ‘Astartes’ fan project.

​Blender 4.2 Showcase Reel​

Not much needs to be said here, it's a Blender 4.2, inspiring showcase of 3D art from the community, absolutely worth checking it out.

​Why Render in Layers (Blender Compositing Tutorial)​

If you have a hard time understanding how to properly set up render passes for your 3D scenes or what color space you should be using in your color management tab - this tutorial might be right for you.

Robin (the tutorial author) does a great job explaining compositing in a real project. He goes over them, both in Blender and DaVinci Resolve (which also has a free version), so if you’re curious of how this powerful program works, this is a good chance to take a look.
