Ready to bring your Blender sculptures to life? 🦖

Published over 1 year ago • 1 min read

Hey Reader,

Zach here,

I'm excited to announce our new big update for the Master 3D Sculpting in Blender course.

The course already teaches how to sculpt and texture an epic creature, but with this update, you'll now be able to bring it to life, by learning a full rigging workflow.

Check out this video for a quick overview:

This new chapter comes with 12 new videos and over 2 hours of content.

You will learn how to...

  • Bake complex materials into simple texture maps
  • Use the free Rigify add-on to quickly create a fully-featured rig
  • Use the Rigify building blocks (samples) to extend the rig to your needs
  • Adjust the Rigify Rig Layers menu, to have full control over the rig
  • Use the Weight Paint mode to fix deformation issues when posing the creature

In the end, you will have a fully rigged creature, ready to be posed and animated. And you will be able to rig nearly any creature or character you can imagine.

If you own the course already, click here to jump right in and enjoy the new content (it's free for all course owners).

If you haven't joined yet, the course is still 20% off, till February 1st, 2023.

This won't be the last chapter for the epic creature exercise. I'm already working hard on the next one, where I will teach you how to create a beautiful render of your creature.

Stay tuned!

~Zach

P.S. This will be the last time you can get the course at this price. In February, we will raise the amount of the course, to reflect its value, with all the new content we added (and we will add even more).

Hey Reader, Zach here, Have you ever struggled with getting your 3D character’s walking animation to look right? I know how hard it is without proper guidance. It’s easy to get lost in all those tiny details that matter and not be able to see what’s making it all go wrong. I’ve got something for you that can help you understand the walk cycle animation inside out. My friend Brian Kouhi (a professional animator and founder of ToAnimate) shared a full 1-hour-long lesson on making a walk cycle...

Hey Reader, Zach here, If you are struggling to find the motivation to learn 3D, or if you have abandoned projects and courses half way, you are most definitely not alone. In fact, I believe it is the most common struggle all artists go through. This also happened to Tetiana Markov, one of our passionate CG Boost students and challenge participants. We were very excited to interview her, to share her story of how she overcame all kinds of self-doubt and got her work featured on Blender Nation...

Hey Reader, Zach here, For the past 6 years, our tutor Martin Klekner has been hard at work, exploring all the possible ways to create epic 3D environments in Blender. As a personal challenge, he tried it without the use of any paid add-ons, the results of all his research he accumulated in his Master 3D Environments in Blender course. 3D scenes you learn to create in the environment course. As Martin’s challenge and his course prove - making awesome, grand scale landscapes in Blender is...
