Published over 2 years ago • 1 min read

Hey Reader,

Zach here, with another round of useful and inspiring CG and Blender related resources.

Introduction to Compositing in Blender

In our latest video, my colleague Martin Klekner introduces you to environmental compositing in Blender, that can be applied to any 3d scene (not just environments).

He will go through dicing up the scene into Render Layers, rendering them out and then compositing the image sequences, add various effects and adjustments to improve upon the render.

Geometry Nodes For Beginners

If you are interested in learning Geometry Nodes, check out this high-quality beginner series by CrossMind Studio.

It is always amazing to see how much work he puts into the presentation of his videos.

Sound Design for 3D Artists

Another channel that is constantly posting high-quality Blender tutorials is Polyfjord.

Here I want to put your attention to a pretty genius video from him, about sound design for 3D artists. This is a topic that is talked about way too little, because it plays such an important role in taking your 3D animations to the next level.

Hey Reader, Zach here, If you are struggling to find the motivation to learn 3D, or if you have abandoned projects and courses half way, you are most definitely not alone. In fact, I believe it is the most common struggle all artists go through. This also happened to Tetiana Markov, one of our passionate CG Boost students and challenge participants. We were very excited to interview her, to share her story of how she overcame all kinds of self-doubt and got her work featured on Blender Nation...

Hey Reader, Zach here, For the past 6 years, our tutor Martin Klekner has been hard at work, exploring all the possible ways to create epic 3D environments in Blender. As a personal challenge, he tried it without the use of any paid add-ons, the results of all his research he accumulated in his Master 3D Environments in Blender course. 3D scenes you learn to create in the environment course. As Martin’s challenge and his course prove - making awesome, grand scale landscapes in Blender is...
