Zach here, with another round of useful and inspiring CG and Blender related resources.

Star Wars: X-Wing - Impressive Star Wars Fan Film

This is probably the most impressive Star Wars fan film I've ever seen, created by Noble Engine. It was 4 years in the making, and created using Blender, Houdini, Redshift and After Effects.

What impresses me even more, is that the entire short is basically a one-take-shot.

Making a Photorealistic 3D Portrait in Blender

Kent Trammell put together a condensed and nicely edited video, breaking down the creation process of a realistic human portrait in Blender.

Meaning, this is not a tutorial, but gives you a great overview about each step of the way.

If you want to dive deeper into this subject, check out Kent's full Blender portrait course (affiliate link).

Blender Title Design Course (Free)

CrossMind Studio just started another free Blender course on YouTube about the process behind designing epic title animations. As usual, introduced with an outstanding animation.

Me on the CG Talks Podcast

I recently was invited to the CG Talks Podcast, where I share a bit about my 3D journey. So here you can learn more about how I started with 3D, and why I founded CG Boost.

That's it for this week, now enjoy your weekend and stay creative!
