Hey Reader,
Zach here with another round of useful and inspiring CG and Blender related resources.

βAbandoned House Generator (Geometry Nodes)β
I have seen many cool Blender Geometry Nodes demos before, but nothing like this. It looks like made directly in Houdini, but it is Blender! π€―
This "Abandoned House Generator", by sozap, procedurally generates endless variations of destroyed buildings. And each of it is incredible high detailed. Imagine you would create just one house manually, which would probably take a few days to make.

β3D Animated Short Film "Family Trip"β
To celebrate the release of the completion of "Part 2 - Characters and Machines" of my Cubic Worlds course, I published my new Cubic Worlds short film called "Family Trip".
BTW. the characters in the car are my wife, my two boys and me (but we don't own a red car). π

βWalk Cycle Animation in Blender (Tutorial)β
Speaking of Cubic Worlds, I recently released a new free Blender tutorial, where I teach how to animate a Star Wars AT-ST walker, designed in the Cubic Worlds style.
In the video, we create a perfect looping walk cycle, make the walker walk along a path (because walkers walk π€ͺ), and then combine different animations in a modular way.
Actually, I put a lot of general animation knowledge into the video, so it can even serve as a kind of introduction to character animation in Blender.

βEasy Shockwaves in Blender (Tutorial)β
Bad Normals has published another quick and fun video, on how to create a shockwave effect in Blender, using nothing but the Default Cube and the Shader Editor.
And did I mention that I love his video intros?

βMaking a living as Digital Artistβ
If you're interested in making a living as a digital artist, Stylized Station has a useful YouTube Playlist of videos, teaching exactly that.
