[Resources] Fun song about 3D Software 🎶

Published over 1 year ago • 1 min read

Hey Reader,

Zach here, with another round of useful and inspiring CG and Blender related resources.

"Welcome to 3D Software" Parody Song

In my last email, I already shared a little 3D animated parody song about "Blender 2.7" by savannahXYZ. She just released another fun song about 3D Software in general. She mentions a lot of things I can relate to. 😃🎧

Poly Haven "The Shed" Challenge

Looking for a new way to level up your 3D skills? Poly Haven (the website that offers high quality 3D assets completely for free) is hosting a community challenge.

The idea here is to help to make the 3D library of Poly Haven even bigger, by creating 3D assets for a garden shed environment.

Besides helping to create a free 3D assets library for everyone, you can also win some cool prizes (some of our courses included).

So if you're up for a challenge, join here.

Fractals in Blender (Tutorial)

Bad Normals shows how to create fractals in Blender using Geometry Nodes, that are made out of polygons. As always, very impressive intro.

TOAnimate Blender Basics Course (Affiliate)

"TOAnimate" is an online school focusing on animation training for Blender, created by industry experts that worked on the Netflix show "Maya and the Three".

They recently released their first course which teaches the basics of Blender, for everyone that sorely wants to focus on animation.

This is the preparation course for their second big course, which will follow later this year, and focuses on the actual animation process.

I had the chance to meet Brian personally, he is a really nice guy and has some great teaching skills. Definitely one of the best resources if you want to jump into the animation game.

That's it for this week, now enjoy your weekend and stay creative!

~Zach

Hey Reader, Zach here, If you are struggling to find the motivation to learn 3D, or if you have abandoned projects and courses half way, you are most definitely not alone. In fact, I believe it is the most common struggle all artists go through. This also happened to Tetiana Markov, one of our passionate CG Boost students and challenge participants. We were very excited to interview her, to share her story of how she overcame all kinds of self-doubt and got her work featured on Blender Nation...

Hey Reader, Zach here, For the past 6 years, our tutor Martin Klekner has been hard at work, exploring all the possible ways to create epic 3D environments in Blender. As a personal challenge, he tried it without the use of any paid add-ons, the results of all his research he accumulated in his Master 3D Environments in Blender course. 3D scenes you learn to create in the environment course. As Martin’s challenge and his course prove - making awesome, grand scale landscapes in Blender is...
